Zanzibar, also known as the Spice Island (Island of Spices), is a stunning paradise located on the northern coast of Tanzania. Stone Town, the old town of the island, is notable for the provision of alleys that make intricate mazes. Besides bazaars, mosques, courtyards and fortresses, has incredible historical sites, as the remains of the palace Maruhhubi, built by order of Sultan Barghash in 1882 to house his harem.
